An Interview with Duane Wohlgemuth

INTLXS: Tell us your INTLXS story
DUANE:I have worked at INTLXS for 9 years. I work in the program division (IEPM) and work at developing and growing our program business.

INTLXS: Band name, song lyric or song title, which describes you?
DUANE:Bobby McFerrin- "Don't Worry, Be Happy"

INTLXS: What are your guilty pleasures?
DUANE:Baci – Italian chocolate, cookies & ice cream

INTLXS: If you could be any rock star, who would you be and why?
DUANE: Phil Collins – love his songs and great concerts

INTLXS: Tell us two truths and one lie about yourself
DUANE: 1. I have jumped out of a plane 2.earned a black belt in karate 3. have been to all 50 states (call or email DUANE to figure out the lie!)

INTLXS:What did you want to be when you grew up?
DUANE: Pilot, race car driver or work in the CIA – then I saw leave it to beaver and knew I wanted to be in insurance when I saw dad’s jacket with patches on the elbows.

INTLXS:IF you were going to write about about your life, what would it be titled and why?
DUANE: “Time” Life is short and there is a limited amount of time – it’s all about time – time of birth, time of death, nap time, play time, down time, time off, time out, Happy hour time, binding time…etc.  

INTLXS: What is the best trait your kids got from you?
DUANE: Patience – listen and always do your best at whatever you do

INTLXS: What are your pet peeves?
DUANE: Too much carry-on baggage and no overhead room, having a middle seat on a flight and both people on your side want YOUR armrest. Driving in the fast lane and NOT doing the speed limit. Being late, doing it this way because it's always been done this way.

INTLXS: If you had to be locked inside a building for a year where would it be and why?
DUANE: Almafi coast in Italy – historic building overlooking the coast and plaza. History, art, Baci chocolate, pasta, Chianti and beautiful Italian women – what more is there?

DUANE:Rising Sun with Sean Connery
